Connie Keenan, who was born Consuelo Ana Vazquez, was born in Havana, Cuba and raised in New Jersey. Not surprisingly, the Jersey shore is one of her favorite settings for stories, as well as for family outings with her husband and their two sons. The author of several short stories for women's magazines and romance novels, she also writes under her maiden name for Kensington's Latina romance line, Encanto. Most recently, her novel, And Them Came You, was nominated for a 1999 Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice Award (Best Zebra Bouquet). When she isn't writing, she can be found reading, watching movies, e-mailing her friends or taking long walks with a spunky chihuahua named Chi-Chi. The Ghose of Little Bay, a favorite among her family, is her first YA publication.
