In Washington, in addition to being a news anchor on WTOP Radio, he works as a scriptwriter, speech writer, proposal writer and technical writer. He has written and edited numerous documents under contracts with the federal government. Ed is a recipient of the Hampton Institute Sports Reporting Award. In Barbados, while concentrating on the creative writing part of his career, he reports frequently to various international news organizations and is a freelance correspondent for National Public Radio.
