Maury Terry is an award-winning author, investigative reporter and television producer whose work has been prominently featured in both the broadcast and print media.
His best-selling book, The Ultimate Evil, which today is in its third edition, documented the existence of a conspiracy in New York’s infamous Son of Sam homicides. Terry also has written about major criminal cases for Vanity Fair, Gear and Penthouse magazines, and for the Gannett newspaper chain, among others.

Terry also has reported and co-produced nearly a dozen national TV reports about the Son of Sam conspiracy. In 1993, and again in 1997, he conducted the first television interviews about the case with confessed killer David Berkowitz.

Terry’s television credits also include exclusive national specials on the O.J. Simpson case, New York’s notorious Joel Steinberg-Hedda Nussbaum investigation, California’s unsolved Zodiac homicides, the Gainesville, Florida campus slayings, and a variety of other stories.

His work has been featured on Inside Edition, A&E’s Investigative Reports, American Justice, Now It Can Be Told, A Current Affair, Unsolved Mysteries, Dateline, Rivera Live, Geraldo, New York’s WABC-TV, MSNBC, Fox News Channel, CNN, and many other TV and radio outlets.

Terry also has lectured extensively at law enforcement seminars across the United States; and he continues to consult with police agencies on significant current cases. In 1988, evidence he uncovered was instrumental in the solution of California’s sensational “Cotton Club” murder case.

His investigative reporting has been honored by the Associated Press, United Press International, the NY Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and the Gannett newspapers.

Currently, Terry operates his own TV production business, and he continues to investigate major criminal cases.
