With a background in counseling and psychology and having managed a group of physician's offices and worked as a management trainer for a large hospital in the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Nancy L. Livingstone took her experience and love of movies, and concocted her novel, Against Their Will. She was a winner in the Writer's Digest Writing Competition in 2001 and has completed another novel, Emerald Beach. Several others are in the works.

Ms. Livingstone has lived all across the United States, from Houston, Los Angeles, Kansas City, to various cities in North Carolina. Currently she resides near Raleigh, North Carolina with her husband, two sons, cats, dog and several fat squirrels which keep the bird feeders consistently empty. If she's not inside writing, or out in the yard, gardening, then you will find her strolling one of North Carolina's magnificent beaches.
