Saint James Wood - Now Available!
Saint James Wood was born in California, and raised in Los Angeles, Monterey and several of the Hawaiian islands. His first career was as a musician, and he spent a decade playing nightclubs in Waikiki and around the Pacific as part of a group called the Honolulu Doggs. The Doggs ended up playing with a range of successful artists, including David Bowie, Elven Bishop, Peter Frampton and Muddy Waters. Following the break up of the band, Wood began an unfortunate career as a Heroin addict; a habit which ultimately led to his incarceration. While in jail, he concentrated his efforts on writing, and soon counted authors such as Anne Rice and Elmore Leonard among his correspondents (Leonard has said of his writing, "You're a funny guy".) After trying his hand at several styles, Wood produced Young & Dead, his first novel. He now lives in San Diego, CA, with his beloved son Zachary, where he writes, plays music and (in his own words) "enjoys the good life".
