Series Description:
"The Settling of Sycamore Creek" is a six-volume series of historical fiction which bring
hopefuls from six divergent locations together to create a town in the Unassigned Lands of the
Oklahoma Territory of l889. This town of Prosper is located on a "tributary" to the Deep Fork
River, locally known as Sycamore Creek, hence the title, "The Settling of Sycamore Creek."
Some came for the adventure and some followed their hearts. Others came to protect those they
loved and some were in the Oklahoma territory because it was their home and they had no place
else to go.
They came, and they were many different individuals, welded together by newness and necessity,
sensing that they made themselves stronger by strengthening others.
