"Winslow Junction" and "The Voodoo Dimension" are paranormal/psychic fiction pieces. "The Voodoo Dimension" takes place in Montego Bay, Jamaica where the author and his wife once vacationed.
"Olympus Lives" is a humorous mythology offering.
"What Goes Around Comes Around" is a psychological/revenge plot thriller. Part of it is set in Aruba, another island frequented by the writer.
"The Trespassers" has a revenge/murder plot. The story occurs on the Delmarva Peninsula, not far from where the author once owned a boardwalk arcade in Ocean City, Maryland.
The setting "Winslow Junction" is an abandoned train depot that (in real life) is several miles from the author's home.
"A Video Horoscope" also takes place in the writer's hometown, Hammonton, New Jersey, and explores an astrology fulfillment theme.

PIECES OF EIGHT is a collection of eight remarkably creative novellas, with such themes as: general fiction, fiction, horror, thriller, paranormal, astrology, drama, inspirational, and humor--something for everyone!
One of my favorite stories is Winslow Junction. This is the story of one family's nightmare. Their little boy, Casey, has a unique power and he loves trains...maybe a little too much!
All of the stories in PIECES OF EIGHT are based in different parts of the world, giving the reader, not only a taste of different places, but of the different people within them.
Jay Dubya is the writing name of John Wiessner, an extremely talented children's author. Mr. Dubya is a retired English teacher after teaching in public schools for thirty-four years, which is quite an accomplishment. He is married to Joanne and has three grown sons. Jay Dubya lives in Hammonton, New Jersey. He is a multi-published author in several different genres. Look for this talented authors work by visiting his publisher today.
