About the Author:
Gale Baker is a published poet, performer/songwriter and playwright from Tennessee. First
recognized as a jazz singer, she started writing on the firing line as opening act for stars like
Rodney Dangerfield and Don Rickles. An actress, Gale starred in musicals like The Best Little
Whorehouse in Texas, I’m Getting My Act Together and Taking it On the Road, and numerous film and
TV roles including Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, True Confessions (for which she also wrote) and
General Hospital. Eight of Gale’s plays have been produced including her multi award winning
country musical, Waterin’ Hole. Her highly acclaimed play Pin Curls continues to be a popular
pick on the College Theater Circuit and her biographical "Neon Queens" is in book stores and
available for download at ebookmall. Gale is a member of the Academy of Television Arts &
Sciences, Dramatist Guild and ASCAP, and the performing unions SAG, AEA & AFTRA. A permanent
