There has been a little confusion about what happens at the beginning of each round, so this is a quick clarification.
The Author Ranking is reset at the beginning of each round. This is done so that everyone has a fair chance of getting a nomination each week. This has always been posted in the FAQ and other places on the ANA website.
Last week we posted an initial ranking after only a couple hours of data collection, and after seeing the results of that we felt it wasn't enough data because it caused the ranks to be quite volatile during the first day. So this week, everyone has a "NEW" label until we have a day's worth of data to report. Check back tomorrow to see the initial ranking for Round #3.
Today you should continue to gather votes just like normal. The votes, reviews, and shares that come in today are largely what will create the ranking that you'll see tomorrow.
