I got roped in when things began to get interesting. The plot is great and original, if a little spooky, as someone said. A few punctuation errors which can be easily fixed. I didn't quite like the end, though.

This is a very interesting story. I knew from the moment that Carver took her hand that something was up. Graham would never have let his girl go off alone with another guy. Good concept. If you have the time please read my story, 'Drift Away' and leave a review to let me know if you liked it.

This story drew me in and I felt like I was there with Keelie. I too love illusionsist's. I would like to see this put together as a novel. There is great potential here. I have not heard of this author before. But I have now looked up her books. I think I will be reading them after this.

That was a brilliant story! Very well done! I loved how you wove the story and twisted it this way and that leaving you to wonder what was real and what wasn't. Very nicely done!

Initially, this read like teen fiction before transforming into a horror piece. That could potentially work, but in this case it is told in an unnecessarily convoluted way. One major suggestion: try reading it out loud, and you may soon discover just how many run-on sentences are in the beginning and how much of it is awkwardly worded, which detracts. It's also not entirely clear why the girl in question ends up being the one targeted by this troublesome illusionist, when it's Carver who's mourning someone who passed. Perhaps this story would be easier to follow if told from his point of view.

wow-I was so drawn in, so loving it, and then the shocking end. Wowzers. I love it. I want MORE! This could be an amazing novel. How sad to believe that Hope may never know, that Keelie's brother was snatched for such a randomly odd situation, and that it all revolved around love. WOW. Great job to Christy Sloat-I was drawn in, you will be too!

What a great story. Somewhat spooky, which is what I like. It makes you think, not just empty reading. Christy is an excellent author and knows how to weave a tale that certainly gets your attention. Love this story!

I was really blown away by the story. I definitely did not expect the ending at all. The concept is great and has the potential to fleshed out more into a full length novel.
