A wonderful story that is only about football in the way that Don Quixote is about wind power, so if you don't read it because you're not a football fan you are doing yourself a disservice.

Great Read! It's even better when I substitute 'Greyden' for 'Brett Favre' :) Good little story, any sports fan would appreciate it!

I've read many of Doug's articles on Turf Show Times, and Amelia's Beach is another example of Doug's fine writing skills. Good job, nice read!

Douglas Morrison writes yet another great story, incorporating his knack for humor and plot building, while teaching us that sometimes, its best just to get away from it all, and enjoy life. A great read, and one that doesn't necessarily need to end here.

Great story, as expected from Morrison. As Joe said, this could be turned into a wonderful series of short stories, both prequel and sequel types. Great development of characters, despite the short story style. Outstanding work.

Great read, I highly recommend this even if you are not a Football fan or even a sports fan. It is rare that a writer can transcend the setting of the story and engage the reader into merely the human element. And with a lot of focus in today's fiction being of the supernatural sort it is refreshing read about us mere mortals in an effective and commanding way. Two thumbs way way up!

The concept of the story is interesting: Galt's Gulch for Football players, (only much less annoying and contrived than Rand was able to accomplish). A nice read for football fans, and even the non-fan who is just interested in the human element of a major American cultural phenomenon. I enjoyed it immensely

Great read! I feel more relaxed now just from getting away to a pretend island for a few minutes. Nice compliment to Devin Briar which is also filled with very likable characters you'd like to meet some day. I want on that island!

Good read, had me wondering how much better off the Jets and Vikings would have been had Brett Favre found his own beach when he was still with Green Bay.

Great perspective on the what’s truly important in life. Sometimes, in the daily grind, we misplace our priorities. In this very funny read, 'Grey man’ comes to find what’s most important to him. I’m not sure if I’ll ever find Amelia’s Beach, but I certainly hope that the lesson is never lost on me. Must read!

This short story is another example of Doug Morrison's ability to paint a picture with clarity and humor. I'm not not an avid reader but Doug's stories have me wanting to read much more than I do. Keep up the great work Doug and we'll catch you on the flip side over at TST!

Traveling a great deal leads one to seek out reading material that is memorable, and Douglas Morrison's "Devin Briar" is a book that is certainly one that you will want to finish. Then I read "Amelia's Beach" from Morrison and found out why I travel-Perhaps I'm looking for my own Beach. Thanks Morrison- Knox-

I recently read Devin Briar and loved it so was looking out for some more from Douglas Morrison when I found this. Whilst Doug may have some questionable football knowledge, I love his writing... give me more!

I read this on SBNation also. Reading is something that has to get my attention. If it doesn't I could care less about it and will just put it down and walk away. This story though had me so intrigued I was trying to fit a certain QB in there and then the Cabbi. Doug this story was friken awesome, when it came to an end I wanted MORE!! I wanted to see what Grey Man did, and wanted to beat the out of his agent. I look forward to more of these Doug and I am not a reader at all, looking forward to the movie :-)
