Elizabeth A Reeves

Legend has it that Elizabeth A Reeves was born with a book in her hands and immediately requested a pony. Though this story is questionable, it is true that books and horses have been consistent themes in her life. Born in Massachusetts, she was quickly transplanted to Arizona by a professor father and creativity-driven mother, who is the one responsible for saying "If you can't find a book that you want to read, write a book you want to read." In her spare time, she likes to knit, weave, hatch chickens, and chase after her husband and four sons.

For a person who is not an avid reader, this story held my attention and I thought it was something different. I enjoyed it so much I wanted the story to continue. For me wanting to read more, means the story was interesting and well written.

Extremely interesting. Elizabeth Reeves has a way of capturing your attention with a stunning figurative way that strays from the norm. I would thoroughly enjoy reading this book. This is beautifully written, she was able to make me feel as if i were there and feel the fear and anxiety of the main character...Bravo.

What? It's over? Wait, wait, wait... I hope you're at your computer writing right this minute, because I'm waiting.... I loved the imagery. I'm stunned by the story, the switch of roles, the hopelessness reversed but still so frail. MORE! NOW!

This was not what I expected. It was far better. I loved the ending, and the twist that had come with Oberon, which I had not expected in the slightest.

Airships and Fae in one action packed scene, upon which rest the fate of both a race and two rare individuals. Descriptive and teasing!

The opening sequence of this short is brilliant. The author invokes imagery and dream-like realism with a few well-chosen words. and instantly draws the reader into the universe. After that, the story becomes fairly pedestrian and derivative. But there's no denying the underlying brilliance and that's why I want to see much, much more of Reeves's writing.

This short story is incredibly vivid and covers a lot of territory with few words. From the first sentence to the last, the author keeps you reading. It's not the sort of story you can just stop reading in the middle because you will NEED to know how it's resolved. Great story!
