Joy Kapur was only 2 years old when his father passed away. He was brought up by his mother who was very spiritual.The family became refugees after the creation of Pakistan in 1947 and they lost everything - their home,land and all possessions but their faith in the Divine sustained them through the hard times.

Armed with eight dollars and a Masters in English Literature, J. Kapur came to America in 1967 with truly little more than a shirt on his back. While studying for his MBA at San Francisco’s Golden Gate University, Kapur worked in the evenings . After completing his MBA, he had short stints in real estate and as a stockbroker and a restaurant owner.

He has been a lifelong student of metaphysics and his outlook on life is innately spiritual.
He has written poetry books and articles on spiritually oriented topics. His most notable works;

“The Divine Perfume of Love” an anthology of 108 love poems and mystical verses, was published in 2001 by IUniverse. Com.

‘Deck of Heart’ is another of his works, a collection of 54 poems on a deck of playing cards.

‘Be My Valentine’…a collection of 54 valentine-love poems and 54 of his paintings.

‘Love Poems from the Heart’, --they are poems of the heart from the heart.

“This is no Secret” is his latest book and by far the best.
