Karen Marie Moning is a bestselling American author. She is known for her Highlander and Fever series. Moning received the RITA award for her Highlander novels. Her books have been translated into twenty-four different languages. Moning holds events for her fans which bring people from around the world to see her.
Moning graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor’s degree in Society and Law. Although she knew after graduation that she wanted to be a writer, she didn’t immediately try to jump into the publishing world. Moning had bills to pay; thus she worked odd jobs while writing, including working as a bartender, computer consultant, and insurance specialist.
Moning began her writing career with paranormal romance set in the hills of Scotland. This is when the Highlander series started to take shape. The Highlander series is a prequel to her follow up bestselling series Fever. There are eight books in the series, and while each book can be read on its own, and makes for a great story in and of itself, the beauty of Moning's writing is realized after having read the whole series and given a firsthand knowledge of all the parts of the story.
Moning now has one home on the coast of Florida and another in the mountains of Georgia.
