Author, artist and “connector,” Marianne Richmond never imagined a career creating books, cards and other gifty things.  “When I was a senior in college, I imagined myself a V.I.E. (very important executive), working my way up the corporate  ladder!  I really liked the idea of a suit, briefcase and office,” laughs Marianne.   She lasted just 13 months in her first corporate gig — complete with uncomfortable pantyhose and cubicle — and only because her mother told her it wouldn’t look good to change jobs less than 12 months in.

In 2010, Marianne wound down her own greeting card company to make way for an exciting publishing partnership with Chicago’s Sourcebooks who will publish and distribute her books going forward. Marianne currently lives in Minneapolis, MN with her even-keeled husband, Jim, their four kids, and their senior citizen Border Collie, Clay.
