Interview with Melitta Jass

Can you give us an example of the type of advice offered in your eBook, Tomorrow's People?

There are so many, its hard to pick.  Relationship is a big one.  Relationship is where most of us get caught off guard and where we all get some kind of a surprise. And I am not talking just about marriage relationship --- friendship, family, siblings, co-workers and people we don't know. Gender is another one. Man and woman are so different, we came from opposite direction and yet we are able live and function in the house, most of the time. Faith, belief system. Our belief system is the key to our future, our success, our safety, our health and our future generation.

Is Tomorrow's People arranged in the same way as advice columns, or is it in story format?

Tomorrow's People is arranged in chapters. There are 56 chapters, so you can go to any chapter that interests you at any time of the day or what ever issue you may have.

Name a book that you'd blush to be seen reading on the bus.

I never read on the bus. For me, I have to have total quiet and alone time to read. I am a slow reader, so quiet is important to me.

What type of books do you like to read in your spare time?

I enjoy reading anything concerning health and facts and new findings. I also love history.

Is writing your main profession?

No, its not, I am a stay at home mom raising two girls. One is now off to college and I still have one at home. I enjoy writing. Children's books is really what I love writing. I have, oh, about a dozen or so written that need some fine tuning. But writing will be my profession.

What is the greatest challenge you have had to overcome in your writing career?

The greatest challenge I had to overcome is my grammar, spelling and believing I can.

Do you plan to write any more books in the future?

Oh, yes, my goal is 100 before I die. I have one finished and I am hoping to have it on the market this year. The title is “To the point common sense”. I am also working on 2 more big ones and have several children's books in the works.

Do you believe that eBooks are helping or hindering authors?

eBook is a big help, its the book of the future. Although I am really really bad with all this new electronic stuff. I still like to write the old fashioned way and then I put it on the computer.
