Nicholas Manning

Nicholas Manning was born and lives in Australia. He did a communications degree at University, was a Marketing Manager for 3 years after and then promptly decided he was way too boring, quit his job and traveled the world for 7 years. Since then, life has been interesting. He’s been a tour guide in the Greek Islands, a drug courier in America (unwittingly!), has shaken hands with royalty and is also one of the few westerners to have ever been to North Korea. Like every communications officer, he’s got a book inside trying to get published. He has no pets, though one day hopes to do the two day course it takes to own a turtle.

This story is really inventive and weird (I mean that in a good way). It is well written and entertaining. Too bad you really don't have this book... If you have the time, please read my story, 'Drift Away' and leave a review to let me know if you liked it.

A reality writing book makes its creator read the life of his lover from birth to death without letting him skip ahead. It changes for each person that reads it. I really enjoyed this one thanks for putting it online. Does anyone know if this author has a website anywhere?

Saw all the 5 star reviews and thought I would give this one a try. Nice effort, good clean pace and an engrossing story that I couldn't put down. Ratings well deserved, good luck in the competition.

Reminds me a little of a cross between the Neverending Story and that library in Discworld that Death owns where the books that write themselves as people's lives unfold. Just a little. But it might be a good reference if you're wondering what this story is about.

Ha ha loved the bit where he put his hand in the church to see if it would burst on fire! Good stuff, would like to see this turned into a proper book or maybe a movie.

Magic! I wish I was this girl though don’t tell my husband that ;) Story is about a writer who writes the ultimate novel that updates every time he reads it. Great little bit of escapism, good luck with the contest.

Thinking about locking myself in a room like the char in this book and seeing how it goes:) Not much to say but great work - the fantasy in this story is married well to the everyday and I'm sure this will have me thinking for the next couple of days about the what-ifs out there.

Read this sorty just so I could vote to win the iPad but I was very pleasantly surprized! Kind of a fun opening and a good rolling pace. Liked the descriptive words which really had me seeing in my minds eye what was going on. My choice to win so far!!

Nice Story of a guy who doesn't know the name of girl he loves... but finds out pretty much everything else. Not sure what book lover's problem is - story made perfect sense to me and I loved the ending! A tightly written piece by an up and coming author.

WHAT IS WITH ALL OF THE FIVE STAR REVIEWS? I am sorry to the author but this was one of the dumbest stories I have read on here so far! So the end is that this guy was going to go hunting down some chic in a hospital? That he doesn't know? And he doesn't know what hospital? But he's in love with her? Sigh...

Just as the character in the book felt immersed in the story, so did I. Great short story, very captivating.... i wish it was longer.

This story had me from the first word. Short, sharp, unique. It makes you think twice about things that could have been in a deliciously curious way...
