Suzanne Brockmann eBooks
Suzanne Brockmann is a New York Times bestselling author of over fifty romantic and suspense novels. Her best known works are the eleven novels of the Tall, Dark and Dangerous series.
Brockmann was born in 1960, and studied film and creative writing at Boston University. After dropping out, she worked as a musician while starting a family. It was not until the early 1990s that she began her writing career.
Among Brockmann’s initial interests as a writer were television scripts and science fiction. In 1992, she decided to focus on romance novels and quickly produced ten manuscripts. The first of these was published a year later as Future Perfect. This was followed in 1994 by Hero Under Cover. She published three additional novels in 1995.
In 1996, Brockmann published her first two Tall, Dark, and Dangerous novels, Prince Joe and Forever Blue. The rest of the series was published regularly between 1997 and 2003. The books are military romance and suspense fiction following a team of Navy SEALs.
Her second series of novels, Troubleshooters, was launched in 2000 with the publication of Unsung Hero. The sixteen novels of the series are also military romantic suspense novels. A seventeenth part, Headed for Trouble, has a planned publication date of February 2013.
In addition to her award-winning books, Brockmann is known for her work in the civil rights and gay rights movements. Her Troubleshooters books have featured a romantic subplot about an openly gay character. In 2007, she donated the profits of a holiday novella, All Through the Night, to MassEquality, an organization supporting gay rights in Brockmann’s home state of Massachusetts.
