Trevor Yorke eBooks

Trevor Yorke was born in Sussex and currently lives in Leek, on the edge of the Peak District. He has had 19 books published with another two due out this spring. He has also written articles for a number of national magazines and edited and illustrated publications for Countryside Books.

Yorke has developed his own style of pen and ink drawing and combines this with a love of photography and painting to enhance his books on English architecture.

While drawing and painting old buildings, he I started to recognise familiar styles and details. Interested in finding out more about the subject, he took an architecture course and began researching local buildings and travelled all over the country visiting some of the finest examples.

Over the past 15 years he has built up a knowledge and collection of works so that he can write with some confidence on a wide variety of subjects without claiming to be an expert in any one. This is vital for the types of books he produces, which are aimed at the general public making the first step into the subject.
