New eBook Released!

Black Leather and Blue Denim, A ‘50s Novel (147,000 words)
realistically portrays 1950s teen life and post Korean War
suburban America. The story describes a turf/power struggle
between two Pennsylvania greaser gangs, the Diablos and
the Kamikazes.

The K’s are a band of ruthless thugs that terrorize eggheads
(‘50s nerds), jocks and other greasers. J.W. organizes the
Diablos to protect his friends and himself from the barbaric
Kamikazes.

J.W. has a crush on Angie Palermo, the daughter of a Mafia
drug and pornography distributor. J.W.’s romance with Angie
is riddled with treachery, betrayal and violence because of her
father’s connection with the Kamikazes and because of Angie’s
allegiance to the Kamikazes.

A series of pranks between the D’s and the K’s escalates into
life-threatening situations. More trouble arises when Quinn,
leader of the Diablos, befriends Marcus Spellman, a young
black mechanic who works on Quinn’s ’42 Ford. When Quinn
invites Marcus to join the Diablos, internal strife is triggered
inside J.W.s gang and external conflict heightens with the
racist redneck’ Kamikazes.

Black Leather and Blue Denim, A ‘50s Novel is an important
coming of age novel that boldly reveals the ‘50s as a decade
of male chauvinism, racism and sexism. The novel is also a
nostalgic look back at an age of innocence where the "Happy
Days" might have been just as dangerous for teens then as
the challenge of growing up is today.

Black Leather and Blue Denim is an exciting novel for anyone
interested in ‘50s teen culture. It is often funny, sometimes
sad, but always adventurous. BL&BD is adult literature
featuring adult situations and language. In addition to Adobe
e-book format, a paperback edition of Black Leather and Blue
Denim, A ‘50s Novel is now available. The book is e-published
by ebookmall.com, ebookstand.com and by cyberread.com.
