About the Author:
Joe Coelho is a Biology Professor of at Quincy University in Illinois, where he teaches biology classes and performs research on the physiological ecology of insects. His career as an outdoor writer is currently on hiatus, although occasionally his urge to write cannot be restrained. His column, "The Sporting Life," garnered a number of awards in the Illinois Press Association's annual competition in the Class A Sports Column category.
