Vivere follows a person, David, from his dysfunctional childhood into drug and alcohol addiction, AA recovery, and his search for Spiritual Truth. David shares with the reader his innermost thoughts and feelings from his childhood that resulted, unknown to him, in his soul-sickness. He then shares in detail how his soul-sickness ambushed him into the horrors of drug and alcohol addiction. He shares both his feelings and the strange mental twists of the alcoholic mind. He shares, in graphic detail, how his anger, frustration, terror, and depression, after many years, resulted in Delirium Tremors, hallucinations, and eventually detoxification. He shares the painful shattering of his denial system, his withdrawal process, and his miraculous recovery in Alcoholics Anonymous. He shares his thoughts and feelings as he proceeds through the AA Program of Recovery to the eventual rebirth of his soul. He then shares his thoughts and feelings as he experiences a painful divorce, the rape of his daughter and, starting with nothing but AA and sobriety, the successful rebuilding of his life.

David shares with the reader his thoughts and a feeling when he meets and eventually marries a woman who grows to be his soul mate. He then takes the reader on an international adventure in his search for spiritual enlightenment. He shares, with the reader, his thoughts and feelings, as he is educated in Asia, to Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam. After twenty years of sobriety, David comes to the realization that spiritual enlightenment is found inside of himself. He shares the soul pain and rebirth as he is confronted with, and accepts, the knowledge and understanding of Spiritual Truth. With the help of his AA sponsor, David learns the Spiritual Laws of the universe and the Seven Main Aspects of God. He then realizes that, in order to live, his spiritual knowledge must be translated into action – the action of seeking and doing God’s will on a daily basis.

About the Author:

Joseph Fuller was born in Boston in 1943. He has forty years of experience in the computer industry and has provided his services to many of America’s Fortune 500 companies. During his management experience he has come in contact with many individuals who were trying to recover from drug and alcohol abuse. These situations, and his personal interest in spirituality, prompted him to do substantial research on drug and alcohol abuse and dysfunctional families. He has established personal relationships with most of the individuals depicted in this book.

Joseph Fuller, lives with his wife Joanne, in the town of Becket located in the Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts.
