Devastating

I will say from the off that you should only read this if you are of a very strong disposition. This book is much more personal than any other true crime I have read. She was a young mum who tried time and time again to get help, to save her life, but poor coordination meant she had to endure the unthinkable and leave her two babies behind. The book takes you through all the details of the case, and I really mean ALL the details. In fact, I would say several times it is graphic to the point of being distressing. As literature, it is very well written and it can't be faulted, but just ask yourself beforehand, though, if you really need to read something like this. It will stay in your mind.

A Sad Story

This is such an awfully sad book, so many other paths this story could have taken, if only the police has seen the clues sooner? This young woman would still be alive. Denise Lee was kidnapped and killed and this book tells the story of her death and of the court case that followed. The book also contains photographs which are interesting. The book overall is a sad read but you don't want to put it down, the first half of the book is far better than the second which drags on a little.
