I'm sitting on the fence...

This is a very funny interpretatioin of the Bible if you step back for a moment and take a neutral stand-point. It does make the content of the Bible more accessible to a wider audience, but in its focus on placing the books in a modern context and in modern language, there were times that I felt the humour detracted from the Bible's actal message. It is a light-hearted way for a novice to get to grips with the Bible but I can imagine it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. You cou could argue, however, that for some people who might never pick up the Bible and read it, this version could be the first step towards a meaningful relationship with God.
