The day that the world ends has arrived, and we find ourselves on the wrong side. It’s not easy to watch others be taken to heaven, especially when we are left in hell. The Earth becomes a raging inferno and space a soul-sucking abyss. The end has come, and we do not sing with the angels; we burn with the demons and devils below.
The physical pain is nothing compared to the lack of love. God’s adoration has left us; His salvation is far away. Hopeless, we are resigned to our fate in hell. We understand that we disregarded the Word of God. He loved us and gave us a chance at salvation, and yet we turned away from Him. Now, we linger without love, without hope, and without life.
Suddenly, we awaken. Hell was merely a dream. We return to Earth for a second chance, but will we do what we know we should do? Will we seek the Bible in all its glory? Will we seek the Son of God, Jesus Christ? Hell taught us how to suffer. Thanks to a God-given second chance, perhaps we will learn to live dedicated to His purpose.
