Fifteen-year-old Coda is ready to start his sophomore year of high school. Blessed with a vivid imagination that often works overtime, Coda knows that God has gifted him with an urgency to experience everything He has created in the world. But unfortunately his unbridled curiosity is about to get him into more trouble than he ever imagined.
After an unexpected encounter with an angry beaver outside his dam, Coda stumbles onto a cave that is just begging to be explored. Against his father's wishes, Coda convinces his older brother, Braden, to accompany him to the cavern where he is determined to be the first to ever crawl inside. Leaving Braden outside, Coda begins his exploration on all fours, unaware of the danger that lurks ahead. After injuring his shoulder on a protruding rock hidden in the darkness, Coda lies in pain just beneath a den of rattlesnakes. Now Braden must rescue him-before it is too late.
The two brothers must rely on their faith in God to carry them to safety. But as Braden nearly sacrifices his own life for Coda's, he has no idea that very soon, a falcon's forewarning may finally save Coda from the one thing he has been running from his whole life-himself.
