I Watch, Therefore I Am

I expected this book to be more entertaining than informative, but I actually learned quite a lot! The glossary of who's who was quite useful but I sometimes felt the need to explain the philosophies through television was a little superfluous and sometimes tenuous. I think to have done this concept justice it would have been better to have a book that explored a certain philosophy via a particular television programme, to be able to set up an adequate discussion about how it is applied in pop-culture. Instead it comes across as a bit of an airy fairy couch potato guide to something academic which unless it is going to be roll around funny, just doesn't need to be done. It had a touch of philosophy professor 'making it relevant for the kids with anecdotes' overload about it. Still informative, though.
