the book that started it all

This is the first book in the Left Behind series. It describes what happens during and after the Rapture and how the entire world is immediately affected by it. I found it to be a riveting read and when I finished I immediately got the next book in the series. The story is obviously based on the Christian religion but even if you're not Christian it's still an intriguing story.
