In between these covers appear the reflections and inspections Henry mentions just after the title, and more importantly to mention here, introspection. The book is angry, depressed, honest (very), and it just rolls along day to day following Henry’s thoughts as they happen. Of a book I won’t mention here, I quote Rollins as saying, ‘It’s an easy read, there’s not many words on the page, the type’s not big, and in the pages I read there’s nothing of any great import. The only things that’s troubling to me is that it’s a bestselling title. Anyone who buys the book and reads it can’t really consider themselves a “reader” just as anyone walking out of a McDonald’s can’t say they’ve had a meal. The same may be said of any of my books but none of mine are bestsellers. Perhaps that’s a good thing.’
