Taste Good but Lacking in Passion

I had high hopes for this recipe book as the front cover looked so tempting! When I downloaded the book and scrolled through the pages I wasn't as impressed as I'd hoped I would be. The introduction is short and the recipes are plain and lacking in passion. This book doesn't feel as if it has been written by an individual, but compiled to make money. I have made a couple of the cakes which I thoroughly enjoyed, so the recipes do indeed taste good.
