Sabrina and Kara are friends and neighbours who also work at the same hospital. Sabrina is a feisty, no-nonsense kind of lady while Kara is a pushover, trying to do everything to help her Mom but getting nothing but ingratitude in return. Throw in a moody, surgeon, Cade, who also works at the hospital, and nice guy Tristan who tries to bring out the best in others and wants to help Kara, and you have a recipe for a successful chick-lit novel. The melee of characters each with their own skeletons in the closet, hopes and disappointments, rebellions and attractions makes this a book of plenty, and one with a heart-warming message of having faith that it will all come right in the end.
