If dogs could talk what would they say is the best diet to keep them in tiptop condition? Would they recommend a selection of cans and packets or would they recommend a fresh rabbit and half a chicken? In Work Wonders: Feed your dog raw meaty bones Dr Tom Lonsdale inspires us to see a dog's dietary needs from a dog's perspective taking account of Nature's teachings, easily understood science and sound common sense. Eight easy-to-read chapters lead us through the practical essentials of dog feeding including how to source, store and prepare raw food. Risk management is dealt with in Chapter 5. In Chapter 6 we learn about the junk-food induced diseases afflicting modern pets and in Chapter 7 the epidemic of canine oral disease and 'dog breath' is explained. The first seven chapters of Work Wonders empower readers to transform their dogs' health. Chapter 8 tells of ways to make the world a better place for dogs and humans too. READERS SAY: I have a 2 1/2 yr old Beagle who has never tasted dog food and has been on a raw meaty bone diet since day one (we brought him home from the breeder at 16 weeks old). I purchased your book Raw Meaty Bones about the time I got my beagle along with other publications . . . I just finished reading your new book Work Wonders and it is a masterpiece. Sometimes I run across dog owners who think feeding raw bones is a joke but with your new book I can now refer them to an easily understood book that makes sense. Gary Humlack October 2005 I would just like to say that Work Wonders is an excellent book and I will now give a copy to all new puppy owners to help them see how easy it is to follow a raw diet. It is short and to the point, making it an easy read, whereas most other books on raw feeding are over long and over complicated. Work Wonders is in my opinion THE best book available on raw feeding at this moment. Isobel Wilson Labrador Breeder Caithness, Scotland, UK April 2006 This is a short, and easy to read book about feeding raw to your dog. I have fed this way for many years (I have a kennel of 20-something German Shepherds). This book managed to change over both my Mother (who thinks any info I give her is suspect) and my sister (ditto) to feeding raw. Kudos on the book!!! It's also great to loan puppy people during that "teachable time" between choosing their puppy, and actually taking the puppy home. Much easier to read than Billinghurst.
