As the story continues from BOOK I, "ta'Sara's Gift", we find that Sara is not as human as she appears. Although she tries to explain to Daniel her true origin and her purpose for coming to Earth, Daniel is heartsick. Yes, they are now married and deeply in love. But Sara's alien technology is so advanced and her powers so significant he fears she will one day leave him. Even the exoskeleton power suit Sara's father has fashioned for Daniel's Polio-ravaged body is a hollow gift. But Daniel also finds joy and new freedom in the technology. Without it he couldn't protect Sara every time the aliens take them. With it he is truly her champion. But the plot thickens as a mysterious little boy comes to them in a vision. And the vision finds them on the alien ship in a brave attempt to rescue him. "Zeta's Child" is BOOK II of the Darkships Trilogy.
