In "Three Norse Tales of Terror," Loki explores three aspects of the Norse Myths.
First, the legend of Loki in "The Hammer of Thor," beginning with his birth at the creation of
the World and ending with the Death of Balder and his banishment from Asgard into the Underworld;
which is taken from the original epic Eddas and Sagas of the Norse language with much of the
actual poetry to enhance the tale. Second, is "The Wood Nymph's Tale," based on the legend of the Huldra, she is much like the Sirens of the sea and to be wary of. Third, is "The Song of The Valkyrie," based on the legends of the Valkyrie angels who take the chosen slain from the battlefields to Valhalla, or Heaven. This edition comes complete with a 105 item listing of Indexed "Gods and Objects To Have Knowledge About" for a complete quick reference to the Norse Myths. About the Author: Loki is the penname of S. D. Larkin born in Cambridge, Massachusetts roughly 39 years past. He is an aficionado and scholar of Poe, Lovecraft, The Norse and Greek Myths, as well as Medieval epic poetry of which his first novel will be a Horror novelization of "Beowulf," which is forthcoming. |
