Wings of Winter Summary
| Allison Stafford-Manchester, heiress to millions in old San Francisco money, is society window dressing for her polically ambitious and unfaithful husband. Nearing thirty and childless, her life has drifted into a mind numbing rut and she desperately needs something to make her heart beat with purpose again. Against her husband's wishes and her parent's misgivings, she and two friends embark on a journey into the Northwest Territory. But the trip ends in tragedy when the pontoon plane they charter crashes in a blinding snowstorm hundreds of miles off course.
