Cory L. Kemp Aims to Inspire Everyday, Livable Faith with You Don't See Many Chickens in Clearance: Essays on Faith and
Living. You Don't See Many Chickens in Clearance is a collection of essays on everyday experiences and world events with a twist: a few thoughts to see where God may be discovered in the mix. One selection ponders how life may be different if the Apostle Paul had had email, while another challenges our assumptions about Christians with the simple observation that nobody in Florida wears pantyhose. This book was written to encourage people to think about what they believe and define that faith in how they live their day-to-day lives. You Don't See Many Chickens in Clearance is about taking those lessons you learned in Sunday School, stretching them out and trying them on for size again to see how they fit as an adult. Most people believe in God, but aren't sure how that translates to everyday living. This book looks at real-life circumstances and zeros in on how God is present in our everyday lives. Faith is livable, and we wear it every day. About the Author: Cory L. Kemp, creator and founder of Creating Women Ministrie, a website providing faith development resources, is an ordained minister with the Moravian Church. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay and holds a Master of Divinity degree from Moravian Theological Seminary, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This is her first nonfiction book. |
