How to download
Adobe eBooks to your computer
1.
Download Adobe Digital Editions
2.
Activate Adobe Digital Editions:
1. Sign into your
Adobe ID
2. Open Adobe Digital Editions.
3. Click on the Library button (looks like 3 books at the left
of the screen).
4. Click on the downward arrow next to the word LIBRARY.
5. Click on Authorize Computer.
NOTE: If you've already done this before, or on a different
computer than the one you're using now, make sure to Activate
with the same Adobe ID that you used the first time.

Download your
eBook from your eBookMall account (if already purchased).
How to transfer
Adobe eBooks to your Sony Reader
Instructions from
Adobe's website:
Adobe Digital Editions
allows you to transfer items from your library to a SonyŽ Reader.
To make the model PRS-505 compatible with Adobe Digital Editions
and you have the original PRS-505, you must first download the
firmware updater and new version of the Sony eBook Library from
the
SonyŽ Reader PRS-505 product site and install it on the model
PRS-505.
Note:
It is important to install Sony eBook Library in addition to the
PRS-505 firmware update, as it will install the necessary drivers.
After the drivers are installed and your PRS-505 is updated, you
can proceed to the step below.
Connect the SonyŽ
Reader to your computer and launch Digital Editions. Digital
Editions automatically detects the presence of your SonyŽ Reader
and offers to authorize it with your Adobe ID. If you have not
authorized Digital Editions with your computer, you will need to
complete that first (Digital Editions guides you through that
process: view the
Activation and Authorization topic). Both Digital Editions and
the SonyŽ Reader must be authorized to be able to transfer
protected content to and from the SonyŽ Reader. Unprotected
content can be transferred to and from the device without
authorizing either the device or Digital Editions, but Adobe
strongly advises authorizing Digital Editions as it gives you
content portability for your protected books, whether on Digital
Editions or your SonyŽ Reader.
After authorization,
the SonyŽ Reader appears as a new bookshelf in your library. You
can transfer items to and from the SonyŽ Reader bookshelf just as
you do with other bookshelves in your library. You can read (as
well as bookmark) books that are on your SonyŽ Reader or your own
computer. You can even read books off of your friend's SonyŽ
Reader (though you cannot transfer books from his SonyŽ Reader to
your computer or vice versa).
Important:
Do not disconnect the SonyŽ Reader while transferring library
items to or from your computer.
Note:
Text annotations in eBooks appear as bookmarks in the SonyŽ
Reader.
