Travis Febick

I'm 24 and a practicing writer. I've always had a passion for reading and writing since an early age, and can't imagine myself doing any other job. I write everything from poetry to film reviews, as well as longer pieces of fiction. I'm currently working on some short stories and hope to branch out into a successful career.

This is a very good story and quite unique. The only suggestion I can give you is to proof read over and over. Put your story away for a week or so and then read it again. A lot of little mistakes will pop out at you. Also you might try reading it outloud this will help you with some of those awkward sentences. There are also quite a lot of punctuation errors; periods, commas and apostrophes. It doesn't take away from the story that much though, it is still very good. If you have the time please read my story 'Drift Away' and leave a review to let me know if you liked it.

Great piece! Your characters are realistic and there is a clear difference in each of their personalities. The concept is unique and original, which is refreshing after weeks of reading cliche after chliche. Great job! If you get a chance check out my story This Girl and a Bartender and let me know what you think!

I really liked the word flow and imagery, this has been one of my favorite reads here.

I am not really a fan of fiction but this story really drew me in. As many below have mentioned, the imagery is exceptional. I really did envision the entire story quite vividly in my mind. The length of this particular story is perfect as well. It does have a few grammatical errors, but it is extremely well written.

Good read. Great Imagery. Mr. Febick is a real up and comer. I truly believe, he has what it takes to be a great author.

I agree that your story needs editing, but overall it is well written. It drew me in and I wasn't expecting the ending at all.

This is a great story will well-drawn characters, and there's so much substance to it that it would do well to be expanded into a novel. However, in its present iteration it needs a lot of editing, because it is full of grammatical errors, misplaced words, and it has many problems with punctuation. I am not referring to the dialogue, which is dialect and quite well done, but the narrative needs a lot of cleaning up.

I've lived a long life on this earth, being born in a cabin in Virginia I've naturally read many pieces of literature. I've read Hemingway, I've read Fitzgerald, I've read even read Moses' first drafts, but nothing seems to hold a candle to ol' Travis here.
