Begin to see a way through

I think this is a good book for anyone sufferig with depression because while it isn't a solution in itself, it provides some very comfortable reading that is easy to pick up. Reading this makes you feel like you are taking your depression into your own hands by using some of the self-help strategies. I liked it that the approach to the different strategies is flexible: you can choose which ones you like and just use those. Also, the worksheets are a great idea - it feels much more pro-active to be writing something down rather than just reading on its own.

Healing the mind

Breaking Free from Depression by Jesse H. Wright and Jesse W. McCray is an excellent book in psychology. It is much appreciated in the academic environment because it provides great insights for students, and it helps them to understand the theories through relevant examples and case studies. The book is very well structured and it is easy to understand without having to read the chapters in a given sequence. What I appreciated the most at this volume is that, the authors made it very clear and inspiring for people having depression. It gives very good advice on how to overcome difficult moments in your life manifested through certain symptoms identified in the book. It is not a diagnostic book, but it is very helpful with healing the mind.
